Ranqo ran the first large-scale open study of AI brand visibility: 102 brands and 102,025 prompt responses across five AI engines, March to May 2026, published on arXiv under CC BY 4.0. One finding shapes the whole product: of the 149,912 citations we measured, only 2.9% pointed at a brand's own domain, so you cannot win AI search by editing your own homepage alone.
